This 2-day workshop is given by Adela Isvoranu and Sacha Epskamp on February 25-26, 2021. You can find all materials for the workshop here, and the schedule can be seen below.
Workshop schedule.
The workshop will take place in our virtual classroom on Gather.town. This environment will serve as our virtual university for the duration of the workshop. In the environment, you control a character and can walk around the environment freely (use arrow keys or W A Sand D keys). You can interact with some objects with the x button, and can press g to walk through people in case you get stuck. You can video-chat or text-chat with anyone that is either nearby (outside, hallways and lounge area) or in the same room as you.
The environment contains several different areas:
- Classroom: This is the area where we teach the workshop. Please be here during colloquial sessions (green in the schedule).
- Office: This is the area you can come and ask questions during practical sessions (yellow in the schedule).
- Private Rooms: There are four small and one large private room in which you can work together with a group during the practical sessions (yellow in the schedule). If you work in duo’s, you can also go to the room with three desks and both sit on one chair at the same desk
- Lounge: Feel free to hang out here and play some games whenever you like (note: the poker game is not for real money!)
Before the workshop starts, please install the latest versions of R and RStudio, and install the following packages:
